29th of September – Moses’ birthday-party!

Hi folks, will be writing this episode of my South African adventure in English, so my dear English-speaking friends can enjoy as much as my Norwegian friends.

Friday the 29th of September my dear friend Moses celebrated his 9th 21st birthday, figure that? Giggles, no point making matters worse than they need to be, I love your way of thinking boy…

The evening started out nicely, Moses invited all of us to “Primi & Piatti” in Tyger Valley, a pizza/pasta-place with great atmosphere and great service. Of course just about everyone arrived late, but that’s no surprise – especially when even the locals don’t know how to follow directions (yes, Werner, I mean you). We finally managed to get seated in our own private part of the restaurant, and, well, it didn’t take long before everyone was very comfortable with drinks and company.

There was no shortage of birthday-presents, but according to the birthday-boy, his favourite was the electronic cat me and Kjersti gave him – a vibrating cat you can use as you desire… (In Moses terms we do not want to think too much about what that can mean) It also has to be mentioned that the cat is bought in the children’s department at Woolworths.

People at the party, still in the restaurant

The mobile boys

Davian, me and Christoph

Disa & Jess

Sorry girls, can't remember your names right now, but here you are!

The party then moved on to a couple of clubs, the first one welcoming us be not letting a couple of us in because they had the wrong shoes – nice! But no challenge is big enough for Moses, so he fixed them in – nothing should be in the way of this 21st!

Nelly

Moses & Tim, should we be worried?

Another evidence of Werner’s sobriety…

And finally, the two Norwegians enjoying the evening in each their way

It was indeed a great evening, we all got wasted, Moses finally turned 21, and everyone lived happily ever after – well, after a while… I have to mention that I for some reason had a date (my very first one) scheduled the next day; it didn’t go well at all: He picked me up at 20H30, and I only managed to get out of bed at about 19H30, the evening was thereafter... Sorry man!
